Introduction to the Solar System
Our Solar System is one of thousands of systems that are found in our galaxy, The Milky Way. The Solar System consists four inner planets, Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars, and four outer planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune which are kept in orbit by the Sun, a star that keeps us on Earth alive. Also found in our Solar System are two astroid belts, one located between Mars and Jupiter and the other beyond the planets.
